Basic Details
Prabhujiβs full name is Savitri Devi, a 40-year-old woman from Khutra, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand - 825319. She was admitted to Apna Ghar Ashram on 8 June 2025.
Background & Circumstances
Savitri Devi was rescued by the Apna Ghar Ashram Rescue Team in a highly vulnerable state. When she arrived, she was completely silent and did not speak a word. Gradually, through structured activities such as games, bhajans and yoga, she began to open up. Over time, she started singing songs and bhajans and was even able to recall her phone number, although details of her address surfaced only in fragments. She shared that she had two daughters, a husband living in Jharkhand and parents residing in Dhangaon, Bilaspur.
Life at the Ashram
During her stay at the ashram, Savitri Devi found comfort in singing and regularly participated in bhajans. She fell ill with fever on three occasions; however, with timely medical attention and care, she recovered well each time. Gradually, her behaviour showed noticeable improvement - she became calmer, composed and well-mannered. She often spoke about her daughters, Ganga and Dhara and demonstrated a natural inclination toward music, which made her deeply loved by fellow residents and Sevasaathis.
Family Tracing & Reunion
The family was traced through the information Savitri Devi gradually recalled during her stay. Her husband, Dharmendra Bhuiya, along with her nephew, Karan Kumar, arrived at the ashram to take her home. After nearly a year of separation, the family was overwhelmed with relief and joy upon finding her. Savitri Devi herself was filled with happiness at the prospect of reuniting with her daughters and returning to her family.
Handover Process
The handover process was completed with due care and sensitivity. Identity verification was carried out using the Aadhaar and PAN cards of Savitri Devi and her husband, in the presence of a witness. As the reunion involved immediate family members, no additional legal clearance was required.
