Thakurji Ki Chitthi
Every need of the Prabhuji’s is humbly entrusted to Thakurji with complete surrender and unwavering belief.
Surrendering Every Requirement to God
The core belief of Apna Ghar Ashram is that the needs of all living beings are fulfilled by the Almighty God.
Guided by this belief, every requirement of the Prabhuji’s living at Apna Ghar Ashrams is humbly entrusted to Thakurji through a written letter known as “Thakurji Ki Chitthi” (Letter to God).
At each Ashram, a dedicated board is placed where this letter is written - submitting all needs of the Ashram to Thakurji with complete faith and surrender.
What the Letter to God Represents
Through the Thakurji Ki Chitthi, every requirement - small or large - is placed before God. From the simplest daily necessities to the most critical needs, all are entrusted to Thakurji.
These include requirements ranging from:
- A needle to food and grocery items
- Medicines and medical support
- Land, buildings and infrastructure
- Caretakers, service staff, doctors and professionals
- Clothing, bedding and furniture
- Vehicles, including ambulances
- Support for the last rites of Prabhuji’s
Nothing is considered too small or too large to be written.
Faith in Action
Today, Apna Ghar Ashram operates 69 Ashrams across the country, providing shelter and care to more than 14,000 Prabhuji’s.
The daily operational expenses exceed lakhs of rupees.
Yet:
- No one from the Ashram goes out to collect donations
- No financial assistance is received from the government
Still, every need is fulfilled.
Support arrives in the form of different human beings, each contributing in their own way. This system of faith has been running continuously since the establishment of the organisation and continues to this day.
