Basic Details
Prabhujiβs full name is Nitu Nema, an approximately 39-year-old woman from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She was referred to Apna Ghar Ashram by the Pimpri Chinchwad Police, Pune and admitted on 17 July 2025.
Background & Circumstances
Nitu Nema was brought to Apna Ghar Ashram after being referred by the Pimpri Chinchwad Police. At the time of her arrival, she was mentally disturbed and unable to provide clear information about her family or background. She required patient care, safety and emotional stability. The Ashram welcomed her with warmth, reassurance and protection. In the initial days, she remained uncertain about her past and could not recall details of her hometown. Gradually, as she observed the daily routine around her, the consistent care of Sevasaathis helped her settle into the environment.
Life at the Ashram
During her stay, Prabhuji Nitu generally appeared cheerful, though moments of visible stress remained. She was intelligent and eager to stay active and Sevasaathis encouraged her participation in daily responsibilities to help rebuild confidence. She began assisting in the kitchen and later showed interest in learning computer typing at the Ashram office. These small but meaningful steps gave her a sense of purpose and achievement. Living within a supportive community helped improve her behaviour and restore emotional balance.
Family Tracing & Reunion
After several conversations and sustained effort, Prabhuji Nitu was finally able to recall her brotherβs phone number. The Ashram team patiently worked to verify the details and establish contact. Her brother shared that he was caring for their elderly, bedridden mother and was unable to travel due to an injured leg. Understanding the situation, the Apna Ghar team accompanied Prabhuji to her home in Madhya Pradesh. The reunion was deeply emotional, marked by tears, relief and gratitude. Reuniting with her family after such uncertainty brought immense happiness and comfort to her.
Handover Process
For identity verification, Aadhaar cards of Prabhuji and her family members were shared in advance by her brother. The documents were carefully reviewed and authenticated by the team. As all credentials were clear and consistent, no additional legal clearance was required. With due diligence completed, Prabhuji Nitu was respectfully reunited with her family, ensuring safety, dignity and continuity of care.
