Apna Ghar Prabhu Prakalp, Bharatpur

Dr. B.M. Bhardwaj and Dr. Madhuri Bhardwaj founded the organisation "Maa Madhuri Brij Varis Sewa Sadan, Apna Ghar" on June 29, 2000, in the village of Bajhera, District Bharatpur of Rajasthan (India), around 40 kilometres from the world-famous Taj Mahal Agra. The Organization developed "Apna Ghar" to assist the needy who are going through a very trying time in their lives.

The Bhardwaj couple is continuing their quest to bring happiness to those who are defenceless, abandoned, mentally ill, and physically challenged along with their helpmates. All of our efforts are directed toward lessening their suffering, preserving their lives, and providing them with a comfortable environment that includes free food, shelter, and medical care. After they have recovered, the organization rehabilitates them in a variety of ways so they can live with respect and dignity and be accepted by society as a whole.

There are currently 62 operating Apna Ghar Ashrams in 9 States of India and one in Kathmandu, Nepal, where the organisation provides housing and assistance to more than 12000 Prabhujis.
